Play and Direct Teaching: Our teaching is a dynamic blend of play-based exploration and direct, focused teaching. This balance allows children to "live life in all its fullness" by making discoveries while building foundational knowledge.
A Balance of Approaches: Children engage in a mix of child-led exploration and adult-led small group activities. This is delivered through a vibrant continuous provision that spans both our indoor and stimulating outdoor learning environments, fostering a sense of fascination and curiosity about the world.

Step Outside

We are absolutely bursting with pride to announce that our wonderful EYFS has been officially awarded the Lancashire County Council ‘Step Outside’ award!

For those who may not know, the ‘Step Outside’ award is a prestigious quality mark that recognises excellence in outdoor provision for Early Years. It is only given to schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to using the outdoor environment as a vibrant, rich space for learning, discovery, and play.

This achievement is a huge testament to the hard work of our dedicated Mrs Bullen-Hales, our curious and adventurous children, and our supportive families. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in making our outdoor spaces so special.
